Butter Candle
Ingredients:
- clean pringles can
- food grade wick
- roasted garlic
- fresh herbs
- 3 cups salted butter
- crusty loaf of sourdough
Instructions:
- Make roasted garlic first! Cut the top off of a whole bulb of garlic, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with salt. Wrap it in aluminum foil and roast in a 400°F/200°C oven for 30-40 minutes. Let the garlic cool before using.
- Remove the stems from the herbs and chop them finely.
- Let your butter sit out at room temperature until it’s soft.
- Combine butter, garlic and herbs until completely mixed.
- Poke a small hole in the metal at the middle of the base of the pringles can and secure wick.
- Fill the can with the butter mixture.
- Poke a hole in the middle of the lid of the pringles can and secure wick.
- Chill butter candle overnight.
- Peel off the Pringles can to reveal the candle.
- Cut a hole in the sourdough to fit and candle, place the candle inside.
- Light and serve.
